Ingredients

1 Deep dish pie crust shell
1 Pound ground beef
1 Medium onion, chopped
1 Packet taco seasoning mix
1 (16 ounce) Can refried beans
1 (8 ounce) Jar taco sauce, divided
2 Cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
12 Tortilla chips, crushed
Shredded lettuce
Chopped tomato

Instructions

Preheat oven and a cookie sheet to 400F. Thaw piecrust 10 minutes. Prick bottom and sides of piecrust thoroughly with fork; Bake pie shell on cookie sheet for 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Reduce temperature to 350F.
In skillet, cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned. Drain fat. Add taco seasoning to meat and cook according to package directions.
In small bowl, mix refried beans and 1/3 cup taco sauce. Mix well.
Layer half of refried bean mixture in bottom of piecrust. Top with half of seasoned meat, 1 cup cheddar cheese, and the crushed tortilla chips. Repeat layers, excluding tortilla chips.
Bake on preheated cookie sheet for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven, top with lettuce, tomato and add more taco sauce to taste.
