Ingredients
1 Pound pinto beans
4 Cups cold water
1 Small onion sliced
1/2 Tablespoon salt
2 Teaspoons cider vinegar
1/2 Teaspoon prepared mustard
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 Cup molasses
1/2 Cup ketchup
Pinch of black pepper
1/4 Pound salt pork or bacon sliced into small pieces
Water as needed
Instructions
Soak the beans in the cold water for a couple hours. Drain, pick and rinse the beans. Place in crockpot. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Add water to generously cover. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours or overnight.
