Ingredients
3 Small onions, chopped
4 Stalks celery, sliced
Salt
Pepper
1 Tablespoon basil
1/2 Teaspoon thyme
1/2 Teaspoon sage
20 Ounces peas, frozen
2 1/2 Pounds chicken pieces
5 1/2 Cups water
3/4 Cup rice, raw converted
Instructions
Place all ingredients, except rice, into crockpot in order listed. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour; reduce heat to LOW and cook an additional 4 to 5 hours. One hour before serving, remove chicken and cool slightly. Remove meat from bones and return to crockpot. Add rice. Cover and cook an additional hour on HIGH.
