Ingredients

1 (4 lb) Beef brisket
1 Large onion, sliced & separated into rings
3/4 Teaspoon pepper
3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 Tablespoons brown sugar
2 Garlic cloves, minced
3/4 Cup beer
1/2 Cup chili sauce

Instructions

Trim fat from brisket; cut in half. Place onion rings in crockpot. Sprinkle with pepper evenly over brisket. Place brisket halves over onion rings. Place flour, brown sugar and garlic in a small bowl; gradually add beer and chili sauce, stirring until well blended. Pour over brisket. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour then reduce to LOW and continue cooking for 6 to 8 hours or until tender.
