Ingredients
2 Tablespoons fat
1 Clove garlic, minced
1 Onion, chopped
1 Pound ground beef
2 Cups canned tomatoes
2 Cups canned corn
4 Tablespoons butter
5 Tablespoons flour
1 Teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 Teaspoon chili powder
1 Teaspoon salt
1/4 Teaspoon paprika
Piecrust, biscuits or slices of buttered bread
Instructions
Melt fat and saut� garlic and onion; stir in ground meat and brown. Add tomatoes and corn. Melt butter; stir in flour. Add these ingredients to the meat mixture; stir and cook until boiling; season with sugar, chili powder, salt and paprika. Place in a greased, ovenproof dish. Top with piecrust, biscuits or slices of buttered bread. Place in a hot oven (425F) until the top is done, about 20 minutes.
