Ingredients

1/4 Cup chopped green pepper
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
1 Pound lean ground beef
1 (10 1/2 ounce) Can condensed tomato soup
1/2 Cup breadcrumbs
2 Tablespoons instant minced onion
1 Cup grated cheddar cheese
1 Egg, beaten
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Teaspoon basil
1/4 Teaspoon pepper
1 (9 inch) Pastry shell, unbaked
1 Large tomato, cut in wedges

Instructions

Cook green pepper lightly in oil. Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Combine with undiluted tomato soup, breadcrumbs, onion, 1/2 cup cheese, beaten egg and seasonings. Turn into pastry shell. Bake in 350�F oven about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and arrange tomato cut in wedges over top. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Return to oven and bake 3 minutes longer until cheese melts.
