11 Eggs
4 Tablespoons sugar
1 Cup Marsala wine
Instructions
Combine 10 egg yolks, one whole egg and 4 tablespoons sugar in the top of a double boiler above simmering water. If you do not have a double boiler then use a heat-proof glass bowl set down in a shallow pan of simmering water. Beat the egg mixture with a whisk or beater until it is fluffy. Gradually add the Marsala wine and continue beating, for at least 10 minutes, until the mixture thickens and can be scooped with a spoon. Spoon the custard into individual dessert bowls or large glasses and serve warm.
