Ingredients
1 Cup all purpose flour
1 Cup sugar
2 Teaspo0ns baking powder
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1/4 Cup vegetable oil
5 Egg yolks
1/2 Cup orange juice
1 Tablespoon grated orange peel
5 Egg whites
1/2 Teaspoon cream of tartar
1 Tablespoon julienned orange peal
Glaze
1 Cup confectioners� sugar
1 Tablespoon orange marmalade, melted
1 Tablespoon orange juice
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350�F. Lightly grease a 9� tube pan. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a large bowl; make a well in center of dry ingredients.
Add oil, egg yolks, orange juice and grated orange peel to bowl. Beat with an electric mixer set at medium speed until smooth, about 1 minute.
Beat egg whites and cream of tartar in a bowl with an electric mixer set at medium-high speed until stiff peaks form, about 5 minutes. Fold into batter. Spoon batter into prepared pan.
Bake until cake pulls away from sides of pan, about 35 minutes. Cool. Remove from pan.
Meanwhile, mix glaze ingredients in a bowl. Drizzle over cake and top with julienned peel.
