Ingredients

2 Cups flour
1 1/2 Cups sugar
1 1/2 Teaspoons baking soda
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
2 Eggs
Pinch salt
1 Large can fruit cocktail, undrained
1 Stick butter
2/3 Cup canned evaporated milk
1 1/4 Cup sugar
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350�F. Grease a 9" x 13" pan. Mix together first 7 ingredients in large bowl. Pour into prepared pan and bake approximately 45 minutes or until cake reaches a deep golden color and springs back when pressed in center.
While cake is baking, in a medium saucepan, mix the 1 stick butter, 2/3 cup evaporated milk, 1 1/4 cup sugar and the vanilla extract and bring to boil; let it boil for 3 minutes then remove from heat. Once cake is done pour this glaze over hot cake and allow cake to cool completely.
