Ingredients

1 1/2 Pounds fresh broccoli, cut into spears
1 Medium onion, chopped
3 Garlic cloves, minced
1/2 Cup butter (no substitutes), divided
3/4 Cup white wine or chicken broth
2 Tablespoons whipping cream

Instructions

Place 1 inch of water and broccoli in a large saucepan, bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 to 8 minutes or until crisp-tender.
Meanwhile, in a small skillet, saut� onion and garlic in 1/4 cup butter until golden brown. Add wine or broth; bring to a boil over high heat. Cook until liquid is reduced by half, remove from the heat.
Stir in cream and remaining butter. Drain broccoli and place in a serving bowl; drizzle with sauce.
