Ingredients
1 Pound ground beef
1 (16 oz) Can chopped tomatoes, not drained
2 (15 oz) Can dark red kidney beans, not drained
1 Small can diced green chiles
1 1/2 Cups water
2 Garlic cloves, minced
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1 Tablespoon dried oregano
1 Teaspoon ground white pepper
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Packet instant onion soup mix
Instructions
Brown ground beef in a large saucepan; drain grease. Add water, garlic, chili powder, oregano, white pepper, salt, and instant soup mix. Let simmer approximately 10 minutes.
Remove mixture to large pot.
Add tomatoes, kidney beans, and green chiles. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer approximately 1/2 hour.
Top heated chili with shredded cheddar cheese and green onions.
Yield: About 9 cups
