Ingredients
1 Large head cabbage, shredded
2 Large onions, chopped
1 Pepper, chopped
1 Cup plus 2 Tablespoons sugar
3/4 Cup salad oil
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon dry mustard
1 Teaspoon celery seed
1 Cup vinegar
Instructions
Place cabbage, onions and pepper in layers in earthenware pot or enamel pan. Pour 1 cup sugar over vegetables. Heat 2 tablespoons sugar, salt, 1 teaspoon of mustard, celery seed, vinegar and salad oil to boiling. Pour over cabbage mixture. Refrigerate 4 hours. When stored in a glass jar, will keep a month.
