Ingredients

1 Pound ground pork
1/2 Cup onion, chopped
1 Clove garlic, minced
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 (8 oz) Can tomato sauce
1 (6 oz) Can tomato paste
1 (3 oz) Can mushrooms with juice
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1/8 Teaspoon pepper
7 Ounces Ziti pasta cooked
2 Cups cheddar cheese, grated

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350F. In a large skillet cook the ground pork, onion and garlic in the olive oil until the onion is golden brown. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, mushrooms and seasonings and simmer 15 minutes. Alternate layers of ziti pasta, cheese and meat mixture in a greased 2 quart casserole dish ending with a layer of cheese on top. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
