Ingredients
1 Whole beef brisket
1 Bottle chili sauce
1 Can cola (sugared kind)
1 Package dry onion soup mix
Instructions
Score the lean side of the brisket against the grain with a sharp knife. Place brisket in a large enamel roaster. Mix together the three other ingredients. Pour over brisket. Cover and place in 325 degree oven for three to five hours. Remove from pan. Remove fat from brisket and slice against grain. Refrigerate until next day. Put gravy in a bowl in refrigerator. Let fat rise to top and remove fat. Put meat and defatted gravy in roaster. Heat in oven at 350 degrees for at least 30 minutes.
