Ingredients

1 Pound ground beef
1 Large onion, chopped
2 Teaspoons minced garlic
1 Tablespoon chili powder
2 Teaspoons cumin
1 Teaspoon red pepper
2 Beef bouillon cubes dissolved in 1/2 cup water
OR
1/2 Cup beef broth
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 Cups cornmeal

Instructions

Saut� ground beef with onion and garlic until meat loses its pink color. Add chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper and chicken or beef broth. Mix well then add the cornmeal to this and mix well.
Cut sheets of foil 6x6 in. Put about 2 Tablespoons tamale mixture on one end. Flatten some to each end. Roll up and turn ends in. Put in pot of boiling water and simmer for 1 hour. Eat by themselves or with chili.
