Ingredients
1 Pound lean ground beef
1 Cup onion, chopped
1/2 Cup ketchup
1 Teaspoon chili powder
Dash of ground cayenne pepper, or to taste
1 Teaspoon salt
1 (4 oz) Can chopped mild green chiles, drained
1 (15 1/2 oz) Can red kidney beans, undrained
1 Cup shredded American cheese
Tortilla chips
Instructions
Directions for beef and bean dip. Cook ground beef with 1/2 cup chopped onion until meat is browned and onion is tender. Stir in ketchup, chili powder, and salt. Add chopped chili and beans; mash mixture well.
Heat through; top with cheese and remaining 1/2 cup chopped onion. Keep beef and bean dip warm in chafing dish, fondue pot, or crockpot.
Serve beef and bean dip with chips.
Makes 4 cups
