Ingredients

1 Stick butter
1/4 Cup soy sauce
1/2 Cup water
4 Tablespoons red wine or whiskey
3 to 5 Teaspoons sugar, see below
Round or sirloin steak, cut in strips
3 Green bell peppers
1" Gingerroot, cut up
1 Clove garlic

Instructions

Saut� steak in 1 cube butter with garlic and gingerroot until redness is gone. Add 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup water, 4 Tablespoons red wine (or whiskey) 5 Teaspoons sugar (vary to taste, sweet but not too much). Cover and cook until tender. Add pepper strips. Thicken with a cornstarch and water mixture.
