Ingredients
5 Pounds beef brisket, cubed small
1 Pound ground fresh lean pork
2 Large onions, chopped fine
5 Garlic cloves, minced fine
1/2 (7 oz) Can Ortega chilies
2 (8 oz) Cans Hunt's Tomato sauce
1 Beef bouillon cube
1 (8 oz) Can Budweiser
1/2 Ounce Montezuma Tequila
2 1/2 Cups water
13 Tablespoons Gebhardt's chili powder
5 Tablespoons ground cumin
1/4 Teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 Teaspoon msg
1 1/2 Teaspoons brown sugar
Pinch of oregano
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
Cook in large covered pot (iron preferably) or Crockpot. In pot, simmer beer, tequila, tomato sauce, bouillon cube, water, garlic, Ortega chilies, and all dry ingredients. Brown separately beef, pork and onions in oil. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add to pot. Cover and simmer for at least three hours, stirring frequently.
