Ingredients
1/2 Cup flour
1 1/2 Teaspoons salt
1/8 Teaspoon garlic powder, optional
1/4 Cup vegetable oil
2 Cups beef broth
1 Teaspoon thyme
6 Cubed steaks
1 (4 oz) Can mushrooms, drained
1 Cup sour cream
3 to 4 Cups hot cooked rice
Instructions
Stir flour, salt, garlic powder, vegetable oil, broth and thyme until smooth. Pour into electric skillet. Add steaks and spoon gravy over steaks. Cover and simmer for about 45 minutes. Remove steaks to low heat in oven or on hot platter to keep warm. Add mushrooms to gravy. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes. Add sour cream and heat, but do not boil. Serve over rice.
