Ingredients
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 Pound stewing beef, cubed
1/2 Cup onion, chopped
1 Clove garlic, minced
1 Teaspoon paprika
1 Teaspoon salt
1/4 Teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 Cups beef broth
1 Cup water
2 Cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/2 Cup barley
2 Tablespoons catsup
1/2 Cup sour cream
2 Cups egg noodles, prepared as directed
Instructions
Brown beef in oil with onion, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper in large saucepan. Add broth, water, mushrooms, barley, and catsup. Cover and simmer over low heat for 1 hour. Remove from heat and stir sour cream into saucepan. Serve over noodles.
