Ingredients

1/2 Cup honey
1/2 Cup shortening
1/2 Cup packed brown sugar
1 Teaspoon baking soda
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 Cups flour
1 Cup quick cooking oats
1 Egg
3/4 Cup nuts, chopped

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350�F. In saucepan, melt honey, shortening and brown sugar. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoon, 3" apart, on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 9 to 12 minutes and cool for 2 to 3 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
