Ingredients
6 Chicken thighs
3/4 Cup apple jelly
3/4 Teaspoon dry mustard
3/4 Teaspoon salt
1/8 Teaspoon pepper
1 (12 oz) Can Dr. Pepper or Cherry Coke, divide
Instructions
Remove skin from chicken, rinse and pat dry; place in skillet and set aside. In a medium bowl, mix jelly, mustard, salt and pepper until well blended. Slowly add 1 cup of soda and mix well. Pour mixture over chicken and turn to coat. Bring chicken to a boil; turn heat down to medium high and cook for 10 minutes. Baste chicken and cook, covered, for another 15 minutes. If sauce thickens, add soda to reach desired consistency.
